The Vulture-GigaRad is a radiation-hardened image sensor, designed to bring the the advanced capabilities and benefits of CMOS imagers to applications under extremely harsh environmental conditions.

The image sensor is the most susceptible component to radiation damage in a camera. Alphacore’s Vulture-GigaRad is the first CMOS image sensor of its kind that maintains reliable full functionality at extreme radiation levels,
