Air Force DOD awards SBIR Phase

Air Force DOD awards SBIR Phase I to develop Reliable High Performance Microcontrollers for use with next generation aircraft electric propulsion controls and actuator systems that will operate in extreme temperatures

Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase I funding has been received from the DOD’s Department of Air Force that will enable advancement of Alphacore’s radiation hardened extreme high–temperature microcontroller.
Alphacore’s single/chip microcontroller will increase high/temperature operational capabilities of de/centralized airborne smart/sensors and controls. While also being rad hard, it will enable higher performance and reduce wire harness weight penalties on next generation airborne data acquisition and communication networks associated with aircraft engines, FADECs and electric braking systems.
